The goal of our Summer Student Program is to develop the leaders of tomorrow by providing meaningful work experiences that allow students to gain valuable industry knowledge from all levels of the organization. The Students will have the opportunity to grow their professional network, give back to the community, and gain real world skills that will enhance their knowledge applicable to their studies.

Interested?
The Summer Student Engineering will provide technical engineering support to Gibson's Maintenance Capital Execution team at the Moose Jaw Refinery in conjunction with both internal Senior Engineers and external 3rd party Engineering Firms to support development of new and support of existing infrastructure. 

What You'll Be Doing

• The Engineering Student will provide project engineering support to a project team on a project in the execution phase. This includes supporting detailed engineering work being completed by a 3rd party engineering firm and supporting the construction team.
• Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures. 
• May perform other duties as assigned. 

What You'll Bring

• Completion of second year of a post-secondary engineering degree accredited by APEGA
• 0-2 years work experience.
• Advanced computer skills required in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Experience with PipeFLO would be considered an asset
• Experience with Hysys would be considered an asset
• Experience working in an active plant environment would be an asset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels.
