Women in Finance & Energy Marketing Development Program

 

Program Format: VIRTUAL 

(based on Alberta Government COVID-19 guidelines)

 

Gibson Energy’s Women in Finance & Energy Marketing Development Program is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about the exciting career developmental opportunities at Gibson Energy and learn about how we work the Gibson Way!

 

Our two-day program is designed to provide insights to the various facets of our Finance, Energy Marketing/Trading functional areas. It also allows students the opportunity to network with our Senior Leadership and/or Board Member(s).

 

Up to five (5) post-secondary students will be selected.  As this program is an extension of our Summer Student and Co-Op Term programs, suitable student candidates may also be selected to interview for employment in these programs. Did you know that 50% of total program attendee's have been hired on to the Company?!

 

AGENDA
Day 1 (Friday, October 29, 2021)

  • Introduction to Gibson Energy
  • Introduction to the role of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the SVP Supply & Marketing
  • Roundtable information session and Q&A with Finance, Commercial & Trading leadership
  • Happy hour networking opportunity with Senior Leadership &/or Board Member(s)

 

Day 2 (Monday, November 1, 2021)

  • Attendance at an Audit Committee/Board Meeting
  • Introduction to Insights

 

Potential Breakfast with the Directors of the Board later in the week (November 2nd – 5th)
 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree with a focus in Business Administration/Commerce (Finance or Accounting) or Economics.
  • A commitment to attend both days of the two-day program is required.
