The goal of our Student Program is to develop the leaders of tomorrow by providing meaningful work experiences that allow students to gain valuable industry knowledge from all levels of the organization. Students will have the opportunity to grow their professional network, give back to the community, and gain real world skills that will enhance their knowledge applicable to their studies.

Interested? 
Gibson Energy is now hiring for our 2025 Student Program! We have various positions available in Alberta and Saskatchewan, including Calgary, Edmonton, Hardisty, and Moose Jaw. The student positions are a 4-month summer term, from May to August 2025, or a 8-12 month work term starting in May for Co-op Positions. The possibility of different work term lengths can also be explored during the hiring process.

 

Who Are We Looking For? 

  • 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students currently enrolled in an undergraduate post-secondary degree program at a university or a diploma program at a polytechnic institution. 
  • Must be returning to studies after completing the work term. 
  • Students focusing on the following programs: Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Energy Marketing, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil), Drafting, Computer Science, Information Services, Chemical Technology, or Power Engineering. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and engage with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, demonstrated through effective analysis and decision-making.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrates leadership attributes.
  • Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude on the job.
  • Demonstrates willingness to continuously learn, seeks out feedback and development opportunities.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
