The Role
The Senior Business Development Representative is a customer facing role that participates in developing strategies and objectives for the business through the identification, evaluation and execution of existing and new business growth opportunities. This position is accountable for generating leads that assist with successful completion and deal closure while maintaining and enhancing business relationships with existing customers.

What You Will Do
- Act as a primary customer interface, building and maintaining strong relationships with industry clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Gibson Energy’s assets and operations and identify customer-aligned infrastructure opportunities.
- Maintain understanding of broader fundamentals across the energy industry to guide opportunity origination.
- Leverage market understanding to originate new infrastructure opportunities within strategy.
- Maintain and grow a strong external contact portfolio across multiple industry products.
- Ability to collaborate effectively cross functionally across various internal business units.
- Lead the full lifecycle of business development projects — from origination through evaluation, negotiation, approval, and implementation.
- Negotiate letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, contracts and acquisition agreements.
- Strong proficiency when communicating with senior executives on a regular basis.
- Work closely with Operations and Commercial groups to identify opportunities to increase revenues associated with both Gibson and 3rd Party ongoing business.
- Actively manage and report on the achievement of business development targets as well as industry performance and trends.
- Represent the company externally at conferences, industry groups, committees and in front of customers.
- Perform customer account analysis and revenue maximization.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- University degree or diploma in related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive industry experience, including extensive exposure to crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in business development and/or sales, with a strong track record of originating and executing midstream growth opportunities.
- Experience in deal origination and structuring, including long-term agreements with a strong grasp of commercial contracts, economics, and risk analysis.
- Possesses a solid pipeline of industry contacts and history of repeat customer engagements.
- Proven success in developing, presenting, and advancing commercial proposals to customers, senior executives, and boards of directors.
- Demonstrated ability to persuade, negotiate, and influence key stakeholders to achieve strategic commercial outcomes.
- Strong customer relationship management skills, with a consistent ability to build trust, credibility, and long-term partnerships.
Working Conditions
- This is an office-based position in Calgary, Alberta.
- Periodic travel to company / customer locations within Canada and the United States.

The acquisition strengthens Gibson's cash flow with over 95% of the revenue under take-or-pay contracts with high-quality counterparties.
