The Scheduler Logistics provides key support to the Gibson Marketing team by managing the physical receipts and deliveries of crude oil and condensate with Gibson’s customers and by managing oil movements with both Gibson Operations and third-party carriers and pipeline companies.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Manages physical receipts and deliveries of crude oil by pipeline for the Gibson Marketing team.
  • Maintains monthly supply / demand balances and position reports.
  • Manages receipt / delivery schedules with customers, and with transportation and pipeline companies consistent with contracts and tariffs.
  • Collaborates with trading to optimize cash month position.
  • Works with customers and service providers to ensure satisfactory commencement of new operations.
  • Ensures all deals are executed and completed within the terms of the deal.
  • Manages pipeline positions effectively to ensure assets are kept full and that product is continually supplied. 
  • Supports Traders with rates and analysis. 
  • Communicates internal and external industry transportation challenges, regulatory issues, and associated impacts to position (i.e., pipeline, rail, truck, and terminal) to Trading group. 
  • Participates in all month-end tasks including balancing and reconciliation of inventories to meet accounting deadlines (Supply and Demand driven, not Right Angle).
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Logistics or a related field preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in the petroleum industry – in particular crude oil movements and scheduling.
  • Ability to meet industry deadlines with respect to scheduling and nomination of crude oil and condensate.
  • Ability to work quickly and under pressure to complete assignments on time.
  • Ability to be proactive and take initiative. 
  • Ability to work in a positive, team-oriented environment and achieve high levels of performance with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to adapt to continually changing industry and environment.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and organized team player.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to win over pipeline operators, schedulers, traders, producers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
