The Role
Reporting to the SCM Manager, the Corporate Services Specialist is responsible for managing strategic sourcing and the purchasing cycle of all goods and services, ensuring that they are procured and delivered in a timely manner in support of corporate services needs as required. Blend of strategic and tactical function. The SCM Corporate Services Specialist will ensure compliance to Gibson SCM policies and procedures.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies for goods and services related to Information Technology hardware and software, Contingent Worker Program, HR, Facilities, Consulting Services and more.
- Creates sustainable value through cost savings and process improvements.
- Conducts request for proposals (RFP’s), evaluate submissions, negotiate directly with vendors on standard terms and conditions and remuneration, recommend award and prepare final contract documents.
- Utilize data analytics and market intelligence to inform sourcing strategies, supplier selection and contract execution.
- Build and maintain business partner relationships with internal stakeholder to ensure procurement activities are aligned with business goals.
- Establish robust supplier relationship with tier 1 suppliers.
- Employ various proven negotiation methods to critically analyze and conduct standard and non-standard negotiations on behalf of the business in complex situations.
- Issue Purchase Orders related to the categories you are sponsible for and acts as the primary point of contact with vendors for performance and commercial matters for Purchase Orders.
- Supports the enhancement of and ensure compliance with Gibson’s Supply Chain Management policies and procedures.
- Maintains and file all procurement documentation following Gibson Document Control requirements.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring to the Role
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Commerce is required.
- SCMP designation is an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years of SCM experience, with experience in strategic sourcing and Purchase Order execution of IT and other corporate services categories.
- Demonstrates effectively managing numerous priorities in a deadline driven environment.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with functional and operating areas.
- Solves complex problems; takes new perspective using existing solutions
- Represents and promotes the company in a responsible, positive and professional manner.
Working Conditions
- The majority of the work is performed in an office environment.
- This position will require not travel to the field.

The acquisition strengthens Gibson's cash flow with over 95% of the revenue under take-or-pay contracts with high-quality counterparties.
