The Role 
The OMS Coordinator is the central hub of Gibson’s Operations Management System (OMS), orchestrating its development, implementation, and continuous improvement. As a key member of the OMS Team, the individual in this role champions the embedment and sustainment of critical processes across the organization. This role requires a strategic mindset to monitor program development, track implementation milestones, and analyze performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

They will excel at translating complex OMS requirements into actionable strategies that enhance Gibson Energy's operational performance and safety culture.

 

What You Will Do

  • Supports the development and implementation of OMS programs, processes, and procedures. 
  • Ensures compliance with action tracking and gap management processes while coordinating training and implementations.
  • Coordinates with key stakeholders to schedule training and implementations. 
  • Manages data and creates reports for key OMS processes (OMS assessments, action management, gap closure, etc.). 
  • Supports Maximo users to complete action and gap management activities. 
  • Manages the team schedule and monitors team email.
  • Supports assessments of program performance, successes, and risks.
  • Applies structured problem solving on programs to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
  • Monitors and manages OMS gap management and action management processes. 
  • Assists in the development of OMS Team, Element, and project plans, and monitors progress against these plans.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You Bring to the Role

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma is required.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a related role. 
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and takes initiative proactively.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with PowerBI, SharePoint, Maximo (or a similar enterprise planning platform), and MS Office systems is considered an asset.
  • Experience with operations management systems is an asset.

 

Working Conditions

  • The majority of the work is performed in an office environment.
  • Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.

Gibson Energy has a strong presence in the United States, due to the acquisition of the Gateway Terminal in Ingleside, Texas. This terminal is a world-class liquids terminal and export facility with very large crude carrier (VLCC) capabilities and direct pipeline connections to key basins like the Permian and Eagle Ford. The acquisition strengthens Gibson's cash flow with over 95% of the revenue under take-or-pay contracts with high-quality counterparties.
