The Pricing & Contracts Analyst maintains pricing data and provides support for the daily and monthly pricing for all Crude & NGL business units. Assists internal parties in the evaluation of opportunities for customers by providing pricing data support. Coordinates the preparation and execution of Crude & NGL Marketing contracts.  

 

What You'll Be Doing 

  • Gathers, updates and verifies all daily and monthly prices and enters into Right Angle (RA) for invoicing.
  • Is responsible for month end estimates and settlements.
  • Maintains all trucking freight rates, mileage and fuel surcharges in  RA for invoicing.
  • Prepares equalization reconciliation’s for cost recovery. 
  • Maintains, analyzes and updates tariffs, EQs, and differentials as they relate to commercial deals.
  • Prepares and completes monthly pricing confirmations with counterparties for all Stream product deals.
  • Responsible for verification, distribution and warehousing of Purchase and Sales contracts.
  • Obtains and validates contract approvals to comply with Internal Controls.
  • Develops relationships with counterparties in other organizations, maintains communication and resolves routine or minor contract issues when required 
  • Troubleshoots transaction entry problems as they relate to contracts and works with schedulers and deal entry to resolve the issue.
  • Investigates, resolves and communicates pricing differences with external counterparties.
  • Manages contract and pricing group email boxes.
  • Maintains Master Data and vendor setup as required in our systems.
  • Establishes rapport with internal and external counterparties and facilitates teamwork. 
  • Draws logical conclusions. Sees the implications of industry/market events or information. 
  • Contributes to decisions taken within the team and puts forward alternative solutions. 
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.  
  • May perform other duties as assigned. 

 

What You'll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance or relevant discipline. 
  • 2 - 5 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of NGL & Crude Pricing.
  • Knowledge of Crude production would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Crude & NGL North American markets.
  • Knowledge of Right Angle system and related software.
  • Knowledge of ETRM systems and Implementation.
  • Strong Excel skills are required.
  • Appreciation of importance of pricing role as it affects customers.
  • Analytical and demonstrates an attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management.
  • Ability to work quickly and under pressure to complete assignments on time.
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently, both internally and externally.
  • Self motivated team player.
  • Notice trends or patterns in information or events.
  • Willing to try new approaches.
