Women Development Program

The primary goal of Gibson Energy’s Women Development Program is to develop future leaders in the areas of finance, energy marketing/trading, operations and engineering through experience, exposure, and opportunity.

Overview

For 4 consecutive years, Gibson Energy has hosted the Women Development Program that’s designed to provide a unique 2-day experience for female identifying students to get an inside look at what it’s like to work for a publicly traded energy company and get exposure to the career opportunities available at Gibson! The Program offers a space to learn about various facets of our business, including the opportunity to network with other students, senior leadership, the CEO and our Board of Directors.

Our goal of the Program is to inspire the next generation and to increase the representation of women in the industry by educating students of what is possible; learning firsthand from our women in leadership at Gibson. Why? Because we believe that increasing representation of underrepresented groups is essential to our workforce, and the industry as a whole to continue to drive innovation, economic growth and sustainability.

This year’s program is focused on 3 business segments:

  • Women in Finance, Accounting & Energy Marketing/Trading
  • Women in Operations & Engineering
  • Women in Corporate Services (Information Services, Health & Safety, Sustainability, Stakeholder Relations, etc.)

Up to 20 post-secondary students will be selected. As this program is an extension of our Summer Student and Co-Op Term recruitment, suitable student candidates may also be selected to interview for employment. Did you know that 50% of total program attendee's have been hired on to the Company?!
