Position Details

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:
Provide support to the trading group by monitoring the accurate reporting and verifying of the department’s supply/demand balances for past, current and projected period(s) for crude oil.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Meet all industry deadlines with respect to scheduling and nomination of crude oil
· Maintain good knowledge of the company’s supply portfolio.
· Maintain good knowledge of feeder and trunk line operations and their idiosyncrasies
· Balance all feeder pipeline inventories by way of trading functions as per the rules and regulations of each facility.
· Stay appraised of Industry issues and attend Industry meetings. Disseminate the market intelligence to appropriate teammates.
· Participate in regular discussions within Marketing regarding projected inventory positions and strategies to optimize these given the shipping environment
· Meet regularly with Shipper Services to coordinate operational impacts to the Marketing business plan.
· Coordinate with volumetric accounting to assure accuracy of shippers’ balances and assist with the monthly post-estimate reviews which bring together Scheduling, Quality, Analytics, Accounting and Producer Services.
· Correspond regularly with Risk Management to enhance opportunities and communicate change to corporate inventory or hedgeable balances.
· Perform volumetric analysis on key wellhead bbls to assist Producer Services and Trading with optimizing each location.
· May perform other duties as assigned
· Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures

KEY SKILLS:
· Knowledge of crude oil/condensate pricing, transportation, and equalization.
· Self-motivated, highly organized team player
· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
· Superior communication and organizational skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external contacts
· Appreciation of the service role the Company takes with respect to purchase and sales customers
· Ability to adapt to a continually changing industry and environment
· Critical thinking skills, providing efficient and accurate analyses.
· Ability to provide meaningful information to management so they can make timely decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· University degree or several years’ progressive oil industry experience. Consideration will be given for technical and diploma programs.
· Minimum 2-5 years business related experience preferably in Crude Oil accounting, scheduling or finance.
· Proficient in Excel 7.0, Access 7.0, Word 7.0 and proprietary supply-control software
