The Control Systems Specialist specializes in the design, development, programming, configuring, troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance of Industrial Control Systems. Industrial Control Systems (ICS) as it relates to this role shall be defined as, but not limited to, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Remote Terminal Units (RTU), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). This role is identified as the subject matter expert for the organization in the area industrial control systems and would play an integral role in mentorship to other field technical expertise.

· Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures
· Acts as the subject matter expert for control system modernization projects and participates in planning meetings to coordinate activities with project goals, schedules, and tasks.
· Works with key stakeholders to evaluate the technical impact of proposed equipment and process changes as it applies to Process Safety Management.
· Leads implementing organization wide Control Systems and Process Safety practices and procedures such as Delta V DCS Graphics Guidelines, Asset Management System (AMS), Advanced Process Control (APC).
· Responsible for DCS programming and configuration ensuring that HMI system displays and interfaces for control room operations are developed/modified with input from operations teams, in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures.
· Participate in System Integration and Functional Testing and provide C&SU support as required.
· Responsible for day to day work practices that support the culture of a safe, resilient, secure organization that is governed by Cybersecurity Policies, Processes, Standards and Procedures.
· Provides input to architecture and design processes as they relate to control system installations on new and existing systems.
· Accountable for ensuring that assigned projects are developed and delivered professionally (safely, timely, within scope and within budget).
· Reviews drawings and reports such as Cause and Effect Diagrams, P&IDs, system architecture drawings, vendor drawings, etc.
· Participates in 24/7 on call rotation.
· May perform other duties as assigned.

· Minimum 10 years of experience or the equivalent education and years of experience.
· A solid aptitude towards computing hardware and software.
· Adept at learning and applying new ideas and technology.
· Understanding of pipeline hydraulics, line balance, and batch tracking.
· Proficient in database management.
· An understanding of computer networks.
· Proficient in the use of PC’s and software including Excel, Word.
· Knowledgeable standards and practices related to regulatory compliance.
· Strong technical knowledge in Industrial Control Systems, PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA systems.
· Experience working with major crude oil terminals and pipelines, NGL/refined product processing and storage facilities and rail and truck load/offload racks and associated measurement facilities.

· The majority of the work is performed in an office environment.
· Travel may be required 25% of the time.
